Privacy policy
JobSwipe · 21 September 2026
JobSwipe fills job applications from your resume and sends them when you approve. This policy says what we hold, who else sees it, and how to get it deleted.
The short version
- Your profile, resume, and application history are stored on our servers so the agent can apply for you. They are not kept only on your phone.
- When you approve a submit, that employer receives the resume and the answers for that job.
- We send resume text and profile fields to an outside model provider to read the file and draft answers.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information you give us
- Account. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email. The app also creates an account so requests can be tied to you.
- Profile. Name, email, phone, location you type, work authorization, whether you need sponsorship, job preferences, and answers you save for later forms. Demographic questions are optional. You can mark any of them prefer not to answer.
- Resume. The PDF or Word file you upload. We store it in a private file bucket limited to your account, and we read it to fill your profile.
- Applications. Jobs you pass, save, or apply to, the status of each application, the resume version used, and the final answer to each question.
- Messages you send us. Support mail, and feedback you submit in the app, including a contact email if you type one.
Information collected while you use the app
- Push token, if you allow notifications. We use it to tell you when an application needs you. If you decline, we do not register a token.
- Product analytics, through PostHog. Screen views and actions such as swipes, tied to an identifier for the app install, so we can see what people use. Subscription status is attached as a property so events can be split by plan.
- Crash reports, through Sentry, so we can fix failures. These are technical reports.
- Purchase status, through RevenueCat and the store you bought from. We learn whether JobSwipe Pro is active. We never receive your card number.
We do not ask for your contacts, photos, microphone, or the phone location sensor. Location in the app is a place you type as a job preference.
What an employer receives
When an application is submitted, we send that employer the materials the form asks for: your resume and the answers on that application. The tracker in the app shows the same list after it sends. We are not the employer, and we do not control what they do with an application after they have it.
How drafting works
To read a resume and to draft answers, we send the file contents and the relevant profile fields to a processing service we run, and from there to an outside model provider. The draft comes back to the app for you to edit or approve. A draft can be wrong. The Inbox is there so you can correct it before it is sent. We do not sell these inputs, and we do not use them to advertise to you.
Who else processes data
These companies process data for us, under their own terms:
- Supabase stores the account, profile, application records, and the private resume files.
- An outside model provider reads resume text and drafts answers.
- PostHog receives product analytics.
- Sentry receives crash reports.
- RevenueCat tracks subscription status.
- Apple and Google handle sign in and payments.
- Expo delivers push notifications when you have allowed them.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example a valid court order.
How long we keep it
We keep the profile, resume, and application history while the account exists, because the agent needs them to apply and the tracker needs them to show what was sent. Analytics and crash data are kept under those providers' retention.
Delete account, in Profile, erases JobSwipe data stored on that device and deletes the account used to authorize requests. Email [email protected] to request deletion of the resume file, profile, and application history on our servers. We will delete those records. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel that in the store.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, and to object to certain processing. You can edit most profile fields in the app. For anything you cannot change there, email us and we will help. We honor the GDPR and the CCPA where they apply. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Children
JobSwipe is not for children. You must be old enough to enter a contract for a paid subscription in your country, and at least 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Data in transit uses HTTPS. Resume files sit in a private bucket that other accounts cannot read. No storage or transmission is perfectly secure. We limit what we collect so a breach has less to expose.
Changes
We will change this policy when the product changes. The date at the top moves with it. If a change is material, we will say so in the app.
